Think that axles gonna hold up under that monstrously heavy rig? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
What axle gears you gonna run? You gonna do the t case gearing stuff and what not to?
BTW I also have a matching set of D44s right hand drop <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

What would it take to get that set of D44s from you? This set I have right now does not match and I like to be cheap and start with matching gears.

Not much, I dont have much in em. I mite trade em for a functioning SR axle w/ compressor if a set of 4.625 or lower gears v6 gears were involved w/ the SR itd be a definite YES.
There 3.08 gears tho, came out of a 76 blazer I will guarantee em to be 44s I checked the top of the hogs head and say the 44xxxxx thing.
Apperantly I need to load up a trailer full of stuff and go to AZ and bring parts for you and the toastmaster.
Make a list AZ crew!!!! I got a pile of mitsus and old ford (2 Rear D60s w/ 4.10s 351W FI and 5spd trannys w/ t case) and a lil yoter stuff and some chebby stuff (TH350 w/ 205 tcase passenger drop couple of 350s and 305s)
Thats just what I know I have if I start digging youd think I was a redneck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

So I found my D44 has 43 ring gear teeth and 13 pinion teeth which is a 3.31:1 gear ratio. So...I will need to find a carrier for 4.10 and deeper gears. I am still waiting on my rear axle. Still looking for springs also.
This axle is straight but looks like all seals are factory. I don't know how old it is, only that it came from a chevy. I am going to strip it down and rebuild the whole thing with new seals, ball joints and bearings.
Here is a question: Can I swap the knuckles from one side to the other to have the tie rod behind the axle and the flat top knuckle on the pass side?
