My experience with paintball is this.

Accuracy does not really matter so much. You don't have time to aim your shots anyway. If you see someone, you start hoseing them down as FAST as you can pull the trigger, and guiding your balls onto that person.

You might as well have a 6 inch barrel as opposed to an 18 inch one because the accuracy gained is irrelevant, and you are that much less maneuverable with the 18 inch.
