dissolve boric acid in water and spray the foundation, inside and out. Careful with that stuff. It will cause internal bleeding in people and animals if taken in sufficient quantity internally. I've used it in a doctor prescribed nose flush for allergy patients, along with baking soda, salt, and sugar, but I DIDN'T swallow any...

Just get your excavator out, demo the driveway, form it up, and call the concrete company. BAM

Nice new driveway. Simple right? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

simple yes, cheap no. I don't plan on staying here that much longer, maybe another 2 years tops, so I am thinking about all of the things I can do to improve the curb appeal with out spending too much.

Seal it now, then right before you sell. Looks really good, that way. Cheapest solution. Make sure you keep the vegetation out of the paving. It's death on asphalt.

FWIW I love the smell of a freshly sealed driveway. I'd love an asphalt driveway, if mine wasn't 200 ft long concrete.

I shudder to think what a new one might cost.

I'd gladly trade you for the acre of asphalt I have...it's constantly degrading a bit, leaving tiny stones everywhere...and on hot days, you have to put boards under jackstands, etc, or they'll sink like a son of a gun.

What sucks with mine is 3/4 of the driveway was put in by the contractor who built our side of the mountain. The remaining 1/4 was torn up and replaced with nice stuff when the PO had the sprinkler system installed.

I' d like to keep the 1/4 of the driveway that is nice cement in front of the garage and the turnaround and get rid of the nastiness that is OEM.

If I had a rig like yours, I'd rip my driveway out and push boulders into it.
