Hi all,

My 2000 4 Runner has an OME lift on it. In 2007 one of the local Toyota dealers here in Tucson replaced both cv axles. The original factory ones had 3 out of 4 boots split due to the angle put on them by the OME lift. They replaced them with non-toyota cv axles because they had boots on them designed to handle more angle. They don't know what make axles they used. It's not on their invoice, doesn't say anywhere on the axle (or we can't find it) and one of the inner boots is leaking and needs replacing. My question is this. Do any of you know if their is a commonly used brand that replaces the OEM axles or a brand that uses an inner boot with a round inner shape rather than the clover leaf shape of a Toyota factory inner boot? Hopefully that makes sense. I do not want to replace cv axles as these only have ~47K on them. Any help is greatly appreciated!
