Getting the Wheeling Fever
The boat has a 4-pole connector (3-wires and a ground)...I bought the 4-pole connector to fit, but can not figure how to get my brake-lights to work...It seems to me the Toyotas require a "5-pole" connector...What am i missing?...Is there an adapter or something i need? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I don't want to re-wire the trailer

i have right turn, left turn and running lights...

ANY EXPERTS OUT THERE?

Thanks

got a voltmeter?

you can trace what happens to the wires on the truck side when you hit the brakes...

toyotas are ground vehicles so when you hit the brake pedal, IIRC, the circuit is completed by going to ground.

Yep, you need the converter; NAPA has 'em.

Yep, a 5->4 wire import converter is what you need. My '85 has a converter box from U-Haul, seems to work fine.
