I said it back in 2009 (post above) and I'll say it again! NICE WORK!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

from a fellow long time (hobby) welder... the welds, the complex shape you are fabricating up out of flat/straight stock and the layered reinforcing at the mounting points.. really nice design, fabrication and welding..

Thanks!

It was a long process getting it this far(lots of grinding). I have to bug one of my friends to sell me a length of 1.75 DOM so I can finish. Thinking of running a piece around the headlights, too, kind of like an ARB.
I'll get more pics of the rear bumper, too. the rear was done before the front.

So... here's what i did for the rear bumper.
Removed a little of the body to keep the new bumper tucked in as much as possible.

Same 4x4x1/8 i used for the front, got it free, some 1.75x.120 dom, and receiver tube from harbor freight

Plated the ends with 11ga. This took some beating to get into shape. Beat, tack, beat, tack, repeat. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

And some semi-gloss black.
