So, I mounted up theses tires today. They are 31x10.5 Treadwright MTR tread recaps. Good thing I got the MT's- look at the mud in my driveway!
Much better! Needs a twist or 2 on the t-bars to level it out, but that will wait til I'm done with the next mod.

It doesn't look like it to me - at least not in that picture..... it looks great!

It's because the back tires are sitting in a hole. It's got an inch or two of rake when its sitting flat.

Monteros look good with a little rake - and may even get better gas mileage that way - particularly when loaded.

Changing tires didn't change the attitude of the vehicle.

I dont think you'll need to crank the t-bars any. Your Montero should be able to handle that size of tire. But then again, I dont know with the 92 cause they didnt have the factory body lift

I don't think it's gonna rub or anything, I just think it will look a little better.

More progress in the last couple days.
After seeing Alex Cogan's install of an ARB from a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and then finding the same bumper near me for a great deal- on it went.

Some mods to the original mounting brackets from ARB, a couple custom spacers, some drilling and a handful of grade 8 bolts later.....

the bumper

first test fit- needs trimming!

measure lots of times, cut twice!

installed.

Now, I need to find a winch and some other stuff.

Excellent! Few things change the look/function of your truck quicker than beefier tires and a bullbar. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
