Thanks for the good words.
The sailboat is another project. It's in the middle of a re-rig and re-paint.
Sanding the hull sucks.

My ultimate goal combines the truck and the boat, in spirit. I'm working towards a 35-45' boat that is blue water ready and equipped for an around the world trip.

Someday.....

Since you live in CO, I can see why your montero will be critical for towing it to the ocean. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

That boat is 21', and certainly not a good choice for any heavy weather work. I'm not sure the truck would be up for towing the boat I REALLY want, as it will weigh somewhere around 50k lbs. Probably a bad idea to tow with the Monty....

That is what low range is for.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

It should be fine. You don't need the front tires touching the ground to tow.

Oh we're on board with you TrailRaider. That pics been on here a couple of times that I can recall as an example of both darwinism and how not to tow.
