Even if the diameter is the same (2") there is such thing as pressure drop within the tube especially if it's long. I don't know enough to give you the physics equation but I know some car tuners will eliminate small-diameter intake snorkels or use larger diameter tubes. Just a thought. Seems to me like if the intake plenum area is 2" you should be using something a big larger than that for the snorkel just to make sure you don't get any restriction.

On the other hand, it's probably fine the way it is, if you didn't feel any power loss. It's a pretty small displacement engine after all.
