Leaking injector? If it sits long enough, the leaked fuel (leak stops after pressure bleeds off the fuel rail) evaporates or leaks down to crankcase so it's not flooded.

When you do a hot restart, the fuel is still there, and you get a hard start until you clear the flood.

To check, before a hot start, pull the dipstick and smell for gas, or pull plugs and look for fuel wetting.
