Best advice I've seen here for 2.6 carburetor replacement.

Preach it.

Worth mentioning, however, I've got (2) of those spiffy, fuel injected G54B intake manifolds - with fuel rails - preparing to ship from Brisbane, Australia, to Phoenix. Well, (3), actually, but one's already spoken for. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

interested, can you send pic? ready to install and use? needs nothing except installation?
if not then simply tell me what it needs.
why did you remove it? what did you go to and why?
I'm an old guy, 63, disabled, so I'm not a true mechanic.
I'm only looking for a good carb for the Raider so I can enjoy driving it around.
I'd have to trust you to shoot straight with me.
How do you want to be paid.
thanks very much.

I put a Weber 38 DGES high performance carb on my 1984 a couple of years ago.

Big performance upgrade for mine. I already had a header on it so just increased the air and fuel. I can climb with ease now, even with passengers. I can climb hills with two passengers that I could only climb by myself before.

If you want a stock, bolt in, and go carb, check here. I highly recommend them. Lifetime warranty included.

I was looking for the numbering of the cylinders in the 2.6 Liter engine. I'm assuming they are 1-2-3-4 from front to back (radiator to firewall) but don't really know for certain.
Anybody know?
Lastly I got the carb change out done. Put on a CW 1 bbl on my 2.6 and it started up first time and runs like a clock.
Made an aluminum adapter plate and used a 3/8" spacer.
What a relief all the emissions crap is gone.
Just have to figure out an air filter set up. 1bbl taller than the mikuni and the auto choke stick up an inch above the top of the carb.
Thanks for everyones advice.
Doc

I did mine, am an old guy, 63, disabled, yet it worked like a champ. Did not use the 32/36. Used a 1bbl. Here is a pic if I am allowed to upload.
Here is a pic of the adapter plate I made, cost $25.
I'll return with a pic of the finished carb in a minute.

Guess I can't post pics.
If any of you want a pic of the 1bbl I used on my 4 cyl Dodge Raider, 1987, just ask. fpsw69@gmail.com or through this server, but I can't post a pic here it seems. Never did anything like this before but with the advice and support lots of you guys gave me it worked just fine.
