Ty, it's certainly possible and I hope so. I'm just not sure how far down the trail we'll be, nor if you can get there directly, but lets see. I'm still researching, determining the route (probably east to west) and there very well may be a way to do that.

Chief, that's what I thought you'd say.

Ray what will be the meet point/time for the So Cal guys? I'm interested and the days look available.

Nick,

Don't know yet. Still planning it, but the date is pretty close to being set.

I'd like it if the N.Cal drivers can meet at a logical N.Cal locale & the S.Cal drivers can meet at a common S.Cal locale.

Then both groups can meet at a common locale somewhere along the drive to the trailhead... wherever the trailhead will be ... yes, still confirming that as well ...). I'll post up more in the coming days once I determine that.

The important thing for now is to determine what date's work for most if not all and it sounds like we're making good headway on that goal which I hope to finalize for sure by Friday 8/14.

Body Damage is Cool
Advise regarding the meeting point:

When I was driving this road, we were meeting on Afton canyon campground in the night before. Then we started moving to the east next morning. I believe this is the most convenient point for both NorCal and SoCal groups.
