I'm not sure if I can make it. I'm in Park City Utah for a Conf Oct 14-18. The wife will not like the idea of me being gone two long weekends in a row

Ray, you need a permit for more that 7 trucks or 15 people

Les,

You can always see if she might come along?

And thanks for the note about the permit. I saw that too. I was gonna bring it up to everyone as we got a little closer. I'll take care of the permit up front and you all can pay me at camp.

I'm not paying. It's part of my Social Security benefit package you're paying.

Aw Lester, you gotta make it, it won't be the same without you. Besides have you forgotten that you're a natural trail Ramrod type of guy?

GPS Way Points: OK, got most of the GPS way points ready to post or include into a PM & flier for all attendees. I'll be running these waypoints in my Nat Geo Topo California software (hi res topo maps).

The way points are in the Charles Wells Guide to S. Cal. There is one other reference I found with way points (not as many) and I'll be comparing them hopefully in the next day or two.

FWIW, the other well known and recommended book for this trail (Dennis Casebier's Mojave Road Guide) doesn't even have any way points but is a good read. I hope he updates it with the waypoints and then publishes a new version/issue.

There are a number of neat sights we'll be seeing who's location and information I'm reading about for the trip.

Who's Going? So for the maybe or can't go's... how can we change your mind & get you to get out of what you've got conflicting this trip yet?

What To Bring: I'll also be posting what you should have for this trip soon so you can prepare.

Other Groups On The Trail: OK, as I'm sure may of you have already read, there will be another group of 4x4's on this trail. Fortunately they'll be moving in the opposite direction.

[b]A Park Recreation Permit[b] is also required for groups with 7 or more rigs or 15 participants which I noted briefly above. The permits is $50 & I'll be getting that permit a couple of weeks before the trip if required and will be happy to pay up front and everyone can just pay me once we meet up at camp.

I really hope that you can go on this trip.

It will be a lot of fun having you around.

Good Luck with your Transportation.

Maybe April will come too.

The Mojave Road is always a great trip.

There is plenty of room for all and a great time can be had enjoying the scenic beauty of the desert.
