Yeah Joanna & Michael, if it can work then it will. If it doesn't (like if you need a table to eat your meal) then it won't. No big loss. Better to try than not. A table would be nice, are you bringing yours?

A table would be nice, are you bringing yours? Definitely unless I we can get the grasscat 'counter' done. I recall a key concern were the straps and how they'd attach to the roof. I have that under control if you think there's enough time to put a 'counter' together. Let me know. But no worries if we can't. I realize we're short on time right now and as busy as a "long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs" at work ...

A table would be nice, are you bringing yours? I'll have a table with me - the largest folding table brand from REI.

Also Norcal / Bay Area folk leaving on Friday... what time are you all able to leave? While I can't leave too early, I want to try and get out of there by say 3:00pm if that's at all doable but no biggie if for some reason it isn't.
Ray, I can't leave my house until probaly 4PM (I have a 2:30 meeting at work ). that would put me in South Bay around 5PM, taking Friday traffic into consideration. I've got lots of fire wood, enough for both nights campfires, obviously I can't carry that much. So, if any of the folks going want to cary some, PM me and we can make arrangments for pick up.

No problem. We can leave at 5:00. would have been nice to have left at 3:00 though.
As for wood, I'll be bringing my own as well.

I am on track to be in Laughin about 6 pm Friday.
There is a change on vehicles. I will be driving my Dodge instead of the Jeep. There are more things to do than I have time for....
Sounds like a couple of people will be there and maybe we can meet for dinner and a few brews.
Anyone up for dinner on Friday in Laughlin???

Ray, I have to warn you that the waypoints W1-W5 are significantly off the road. Each W1-W5 waypoint is between 3 and 5 minutes to the south from the real Mojave Road way. Actually, the waypoints W1-W5 bypass the Soda Lake altogether. Was it really your intention to bypass the Soda Lake ? This lake is a pretty interesting drive, and there is a very important attraction in the center of the lake ("the travelers monument"). I crossed that lake two times. Also, I am afraid that there are no any roads really around the waypoints W1-W5.
I have the correct waypoints and my own old tracks on my GPS, so there will be no problems in finding the road for us.

Oleg,
The waypoints are more of a guide... but the Grasscat is the Navigator for this trip.
