the Grasscat is the Navigator for this trip.
OK... OK... I hope that one way or another, we will not miss the important travelers monument in the middle of the lake. This monument was left for us by the 19-century travelers, with historically correct authentic message plaque in the center. The content of this message is the shared secret among the Mojave Road visitors (so I cannot post it here, you have to see the message in person). I've seen this message twice, and the words are still burning in my inflamed brain... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.geocities.com/olegmoskalenko/mojave2007/59190009.jpg)

Sounds like a couple of people will be there and maybe we can meet for dinner and a few brews.
Anyone up for dinner on Friday in Laughlin??? John, if all goes well I'll be down there around 6-7pm. I'll keep in touch by text message so you'll know my ETA. I'll try to aim for 6pm.

I am on track to be in Laughin about 6 pm Friday.
There is a change on vehicles. I will be driving my Dodge instead of the Jeep. There are more things to do than I have time for....

OK... OK... I hope that one way or another, we will not miss the important travelers monument in the middle of the lake. Not to worry, we won't miss it. I have good waypoints. I think. The road does change. It all depends on the river and the wind, but that's after the monument. I plan to start the trip at the river, for those folks who want a river rock for the monument. Also you'll need to bring a small trinket for the "mail box" and maybe a frog. Did you read the book?

The way through the lake is marked by the large poles. I would not deviate from the poles - it may be dangerous. The mud is not deep but it is very slippery - more slippery than ice, in some places you cannot even walk. I've never seen such a substance anywhere else. I was there in 2004 and 2007, and the road was the same. I plan to start the trip at the river, for those folks who want a river rock for the monument.
If somebody would bring a dolly or an off-road trailer, we would be able to haul a really large rock for the monument Or we can just drug it behind on a rope Also you'll need to bring a small trinket for the "mail box" and maybe a frog. Yes, I did read "the book". I'll figure something out.

As it turns out I won't be leaving the Bay Area until Saturday morning, meeting up with the group Saturday evening.
Where will the group camp Saturday evening, I heard Caruthers Canyon, is this correct?
Does anyone have the GPS coordiantes of the campground?
Thanks.
