I for one think the tire would look pretty good on the back and at the same time will keep some of the weight that was removed by deleting the roof to help retain some of the balance. Just my opinion of course

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Way Cool!! I agree that the spare would look nice
on the gate. But only if the gate is to open to horizontal.
If is going to open vertical(like a real pickup) that would be a pain. But vertical lift might give you the ability haul a sheets of plywood. But the body work and hinge
relocation would be a PITA.

No, Im not going to keep the wiper thought about it but decided against it. I will rewire the rear window defrost so it will work. The back sections came from my shorty parts truck. I wanted to keep the top we cut of for a possible canopy if it will fit after I install the roll bar with tire carrier. The back door is going to get smoothed out no handle ,lock or tire mount.

Not that I'm reading this thread or anything, because Phil won't let me, but I have to say it looks great.

I don't have the skills or the steady hands to pull off such an opperation... But... damn! That looks good!

There are actually two dewalt saws at my place... one per side... We'd be done in no time!

Well bring them by. We'll start cutting. Not yours, mine. Needs more...err... less sheet metal still.
