MAF sensor for '89 #957780 08/06/09 08:14 PM

Does anyone here have an extra know-to-be-working MAF sensor for an '89 v6?
Mine is bad as well as the one on my parts rig. I've made several trips to pull-a-part(they're only $6.50 there) but of course they're always taken already. I don't care if it's just the sensor or the whole air filter assembly.

If you're anywhere around Seattle/Tacoma I will pickup otherwise I can pay with paypal. Let me know what your asking and we'll work it out.

Thanks,
-Colin

I know you didn't ask but CRC makes a Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner in the event that you need something to clean it.

Did anyone read the instructions on the MAF cleaner?

10. DO NOT use on vehicles
with a Karman-Vortex air flow sensor, e.g. Toyota
Supra Turbos, MitsubishiÆs and most Lexus
vehicles.

Interesting that it says not to me used on or vehicles.

I've got a spare MAF sensor from my scrapped 89 LS rig and I know there are 2 more in the local yard, but it's somewhat of a pain to buy those parts and hold on to em until who knows when.

Let me know if you want my 89 unit or I can grab another from the local yard.

I have a known to work MAF that I will not need along with 2 known to work ECU's for an 89 V6 (auto or manual does not matter that year). PM me, I am scrapping out the whole engine. Dist. has bad optisensor & I already did the cooling sustem with sodium silicate & that makes the engine itself junk for rebuilds.

Sidium Silicate aka Waterglass is the main ingredient in Block sealer. Origionally used to seal concrete, it will seal any cracks or leaks in a head.
