Forever. As a fan/veteran of a few defunct car brands (MG and older Jaguar). You will always be able to get hard parts. Interior parts will be the first to be "unable' to get. Even then, if you have a group buy, a manufacturer will be glad to make you a run of 50 or 100.

What we WON"T be able to do is wander down to an Autozone/NAPA and get unique parts.

Mail order/internet is a wonderful thing.

Bottom line, there are still AMC's/Hudson's/Plymouth's/International's wandering around and THEY can still get parts so we should be fine.

Roll Me Over
I needed a speedometer cable this week. I called St. Charles and Merlin said that he would first have to see if Isuzu still stocked them. The good news is that they do.

Need a Spot
It is definitely hard to find parts here in Alaska. I have been looking for several accessories for my '88 trooper. Currently in the middle of an engine rebuild on the 2.6. What's left of our local Isuzu dealer doesn't stock parts for troopers past gen 2.

I replaced mine about 2 weeks ago... got it from Jerry Lemond, as many parts as he has, we should be good for awhile.

Exterior/interior body parts might be a problem down the road, but mechanical parts should be around for awhile... besides, body damage is cool, right?

It might behove this Isuzu forum to start a "sticky" on where to get parts so that the "newbies" and some "oldies" know.
