Hey lads....just a newbie so beware :} I have a Pajero,built in November 1989 LWB /4D56 TD...Are any Montero`s a match for this year,excluding the engine of course and I don't believe the Montero had the four wheel disc brakes on their early models.I have tried to research but man alive there is considerable material too ingest.TALK AT YOU LATER......jd <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />

Just double check that your chassis number starts with an L and not a V, and you should be good to go on a North American 90 or 91 Montero for parts. This is what we call a gen 1. Gen 2's started JDM production in jan/91.

Yes it`s a L-149 yada yada..am I correct in regard`s the rear disc`s as I only see drum and shoes on the 90 and 91 Montero`s. Thank`s for having me

Welcome.Where in BC are you. I have an 89 shorty Pajero and my brother an 89 Raider all part can be swapped between the two. I also have a 90 Pajero parts truck if you need anything. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I`m in Armstrong,the biggest issue was finding rear rotors and calipers,I had them shipped from Milnor.offroad out of England,,not an unreasonable price but the freight was a killer.I searched the net but didn`t see Montero parts that appeared to fit.I hope to change out the brakes soon and also the slave cylinder,and do the filters at the same time.If I need a part I will give you a shout and see if you have what I need,I travel to Squamish quite a bit to see my family.
