I flushed mine and re-filled with Redline synthetic power steering fluid. No problems here.

Best way is to disconnect the return line, stick it in a 5 gallon bucket, run the truck, and keep pouring new fluid in the resivour until it runs clean in the bucket.

You don't even have to run the engine to flush it. Instead, just jack up the front end and as you cycle the steering from lock to lock it pumps the fluid through the system. I found this way easier, as it was hard for me to keep up with the rate at which the fluid came out with the engine running and risking the pump running dry.

There is also a way to adjust the play on the input shaft, but on these late model boxes it requires complete disassembly.

I finally just got around to doing this on my truck. It got rid of the dead/loose spot in the steering that has been annoying me for quite some time now.

The input shaft was where my play was, not the top nut adjustment on the sector shaft which I've adjusted before. It only needed about 1/8 of a turn, but it made a noticeable difference.
