Wow, Michael great job. It's looking great! That ARB is another option for Monteros then. Was it easy to fit?

I'm interested in that rear bumper. When did you make that? I must've missed that thread.
It looks positively awesome Michael <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

That was my bumper originally. It was custom built by a local fabricator who's no longer in business (owner had a drinking problem and also had diabetes who didn't take his insulin as needed and is now legally blind <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> )

It's built completely using 1/4" plate with the exception of the lower rear piece which is built using 1/2" plate!

It was originally designed to fit a gen I LWB. Mike modified it to fit his gen II. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> My gen I came down hard on it multiple times. I NEVER even had any concerns. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

Dang Ray. I really like that design. It's what I've been wanting to do on mine, sans receiver. I just haven't been able to line up the time with my welder...

He wouldn't happen to have any sketches or drawings with measurements to template off of, would he?

/offtopic (Sorry Michael)

Sorry, no drawings. It was made from one tiny template for the upper horizontal corner piece that wraps around the body (outlined in white here)...
[Linked Image]

He eyeball-fab'd the rest including the way the bumper wraps around at the bottom. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Extremely talented welder/fabricator. It's just too bad he didn't take good care of himself.

My cost for the bumper was the materials (~$200 but it's been many years since he built it and my memory is definitely fading on it so that figure is a WAG at this point) plus building him a website on geocities.com

Looks really good on the Grass Cat II. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

We need more info on the ARB modification.

I had new mounting brackets bent up at the welding shop with an 1" off set. The original bracket will not work and would be hard to modify. I also had to trim the sides as they were hitting the tires.

I'll do a write up and gets some picture when I take it off to install the winch.

Larry,
Next time Ray comes over, in the day light, we'll take some pictures and measurements.
I added the receiver and it's now part of the mounting configuration.

That'd be awesome Michael! Much appreciated. I would love to do something similar on mine and measurements would definitely help <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
