So ive replaced both rotors and calipers still did the stuttering, bumping, shaking- only when braking seems less when cool or colder, worse for sure when very hot started to flush the brake system, (wife ran out of patience) seemed to help for a while, back to brake shake. A friend just bought a 96 that seems to be doing the same whats causing this- is it common among 4runners in this series? Before I start the FSM testing I thought Id ask searched for a bit didnt really see what I was looking for
Thanks!
I'm givin up my toy and goin VWesty. Got my Westy and another Toy:)

Do you mean warped brake rotors? Yes, that's a fairly common problem. Here's a recent thread here about a possible fix: www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1162763

but ive replaced both rotors and calipers with no change
not an upgrade, just new parts for the stock 16's
so why does it still, shimmy, vibrate, bump, shudder...

Hard to say without being there and checking a few things.
I would check upper and lower control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and wheel bearings.
