I was cleaning my Garage and found a Kite on a top shelf.

I Remember this Kite. I started it 15 years ago but never finished.
Here is the Frame on my workbench.

This kite came from Squadron Kites. It is NOT an easy kite to Put together.
You must cut all Wood and Paper from a Master Diagram.

So i had a choice to finish it or chuck it in the trash.....

I chose to finish it.

I even made a Banner!

There was a Hindu Festival in The Local Park.
When me and my Son walked thru with the kite: A bunch of people followed us to watch it Fly.

They all kept saying " what's a 4x4Wire " <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I spent much of my youth building those balsa framed planes. Great times. Thanks for the flashback!

Which is why the name of one of my fave companies is "Aircraft Spruce and Specialty"...

Neat kit, and nice job. Tried those once. Not enough patience. Me hat's off to the Duke...
