Getting the Wheeling Fever
sorry i have not posted in a while. i could not get a good connection on the road. so far we have gone about 2300 miles from the start of our trip. the trooper has been running well other than the oil pressure has been going down every day. i changed the oil pump and oil this morning so it should be good. right now we are in LA. we have seen the grand canyon, the painted desert, the petrified forest, and the mojave desert. here are some pictures of the trip so far. [img]http://[image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/041.jpg[/img][/image] this is be for we left. [img]http://[image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/003-3.jpg[/img][/image] this is tucamcari mountain in new mexico. it is on private property but we got permission to go to the top. swwweeeeeeetttt [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/015.jpg[/img][/image] this is the trooper as far up as i took it. the last two hundred feet was really rough. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/011.jpg[/img][/image] this is a survey marker at the top of the mountain. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/019.jpg[/img][/image] this is john and me in a volcano canyon in west new mexico. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/007.jpg[/img][/image] this is a lizard at tucamcari mountain. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/009.jpg[/img][/image] this is us at the mountain. sorry they are out of order. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/188.jpg[/img][/image] this is us in the grand canyon. the picture was taken by the two french girls that i asked to hike with us. i wish i had a picture of them <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

its been a blast. today we tried kayak surfing for the second time. i now have painful ailments on both legs. see, i did it first so i got the worst of the beating and then every one else got to get in on the middle of my learning curve. LAME. any way, it was worth it, and i will do it again tomorrow. thats just how cool/dumb i am (: . any way, thats all folks.

we did more offroading today. being in the mojave desert is cool. i have done more trail riding in the last to days than the rest of my life all together. we got a flat tire in the middle of the desert. that was cool. it happened right after we went on a really rough road. big shock right. here are some pictures. [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/heathers119.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/heathers120.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv25/SAW32rally/heathers121.jpg[/img][/image] that was the big disaster. it only took about half an hour including pumping up the spare. fun fun.
these are a few random pictures. Put up some pics of the new shoes!

On wheeling...my rig is apart as of today for head gaskets, so no wheeling for me. But, let me know when you're passing through, and I'll take you guys for a coffee or smoothie or whatever it is that you drink. I'd like to see your rig!
