Capn Crunch, did that snorkel come with a special air cleaner base gasket? Or does it figure on you using the stock one to seal it up properly. I noticed mine is cut and doesn't seal well, so I am figuring on making one out fo rubber, probly an old inner tube. Anyone else dealt with this?

Based on my limited experience with doing my gen II install and seeing the GrassCat's gen I install I'd guess that most snorkels are designed to use some of the OE parts to seal to although you have the option to seal it in other ways depending on how you get it from the snorkel tube (round hole) to the air intake hole (oval hole in Gen II). I used a piece of flexible rain gutter tubing to adapt the two.
