It's starting to look the same here, we had 7" a couple weeks ago, that's almost gone and they're calling for rain this weekend. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Very nice post here!
Rather then start my own thread, I thought that this post would be helpful to others experiencing similar 4x4 issue.

I went to the beach today and locked the manual hubs. After driving a while in 4hi I hear this rubbing sound (like my tire is rubbing). I get out and check it out and discover absolutely nothing out of the ordinary (of course). The 4x4 works perfectly......Except for the rub noise coming from the front driver side. I check the tire for play and I think that there is ...Or maybe there isn't (not sure prolly just paranoid as usual).

Some History..(the hubs came from a 4x4 manual tranny and we could not find an inner hub grease seal) <so we made the new hub seal from the auto 4x4 fit by force>! THIS could or could not be related.....Just wanted to give all the information out on the table.

The rubbing sound is quite prevalent when hubs are in lock.....and when open (If I shift in 4hi just to check) <the sound is there again>! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The 4x4 works though.....

I read this awesome thread like 10 times....I don't want to miss something.

Thanks,

Mikey <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The 4x4 works though.....Any Ideas???????:
