on my 1990 isuzu trooper I have been having problems with the carrier bearing going out. I have the 3 inch lift installed on it. It vibrated a little bit on take offs, but wasn't bad. A while after I installed the lift I bought the shims from independent4x that is suppose to correct the pinion angle. it basically made the driveshaft straight, but after i installed them my carrier bearing bushing finally went out.
So I installed a new aftermarket carrier bearing, but it went out shortly after install, so I had a warranty and put another one in. The aftermarket one is a totally different design then the old one. So i guess what I am asking is should I take out the shims, since they only seem to cause problems or try to rebuild my old carrier bearing with a new rubber bushing?
thanks kyle
