This why:

yup the top edge of the bumper sliced into the receiver and cut off the tube on the DS of the condensor and crushed the fan. I was able to get the condensor, receiver and fan from a local yard. I watched them disconnect it. Per their advice, I'm going to get a new reciever.

Putting it together seems pretty simple....My main concern is removing the R12 oil and any other contaminants and making sure there are not leaks before I recharge it with R134....This is the part I'm not sure I can do on my own.
