Can't find a stock Kia LSD, Try RX7.

The ones I was talking about were for the front.

Dennis, do you have other information?

Most Miata's fit the front, Miata's with Torson LSD and turbo RX7's fit the rear. Look for early 90s and do some research and check ring gear size and spline count before you buy. Go back in the arcives a ways, this has been gone through a few times but I find new thing ever time I research more.

I don't know if I have a LSD or not in my 2002 Sporty.
I know only one tire spins in snow, mud and up hills.
How do I go about finding out if I have one in the rear?
If I don't have one. There is a possibility that I can order one for an older Miata or RX7 to put in mine?
Excuse my ignorance please.

Dennis do you know the dia. of the rear end of the diff. both sides, I see that RX7 have a open barrled bearings and the kia's are closed, the RX7's bearing will have to be removed. you know after looking at drawings of the sportage is that little gear-set bolted to the LSD and being turned by a pinion gear. ok guys please don't hound me about what I am thinking, but I do need the measurements , thanks again Dennis

I was reading around about LSD's. I saw some posts about people using Sportage LSD's in a Honda S2000.

There are lots of LSD's out there for the S2000.

Anyone know enough to tell whether the S2000 LSD would fit in the Sportage?

There are some S2000 LSD's on Ebay, some for as cheap as $350. Unfortunately they are helical LSD's so, not as good as clutch type LSD for offroading right?

There are others but they are like $800 or something.

It wouldn't surprise me, most Honda's are FWD so they had to source a dif somewhere for a RWD. Again, Research before you buy anything. Also you want to find either a clutch type or a Torsen for off road. The Ranger FX4 level IIs use a Torsen and they seem to work great.

The S2000 will fit the front. Guys buy the Sportage front ring and pinion for the lowest gears available for the S2000.
