The S2000 will fit the front. Guys buy the Sportage front ring and pinion for the lowest gears available for the S2000. Everet <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Will check that out (prices) mostly..... I read almost all of the archives and we kinda are at the same spot----untill that quote above! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I've purchased parts from them before and would highly recommend them. The price is not the best, but the parts are KIA parts and not some knock off ones.

Most of those stupid web sites that say they sell the Eaton posi for the Sportage don't actually stock the item, when you order it they order it from Eaton.
... and then your order gets back-ordered, and eventually Eaton tells them "hey we don't make that posi any more sorry" and your order gets cancelled.
I know from trying to buy a posi from a few different sites. If they don't have it IN STOCK you probably aren't getting it.
2002 Sportage 4dr 4x4 soon to undergo an Extreme Makeover!

Nukeiridium,
Came to pretty much the same conclusion after contacting Eaton. Here's a copy of the message: 24 Oct 2009
Me - I would like to know if your company makes a drop in locking differential that will fit the 1998 - 07 KIA Sportage 10 Bolt, 28-Spline 4.44 rear end. other than the Eaton Posi: 19536-20. I am part of a select few 4x4 off road enthusiasts that have selected the Kia Sportage as our vehicle of choice. We are very intrested in upgrading our rear differentials for this use. And your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Tom Sape, Eaton Automotive Group, (248) 226-6925 My apologies as I was told that our aftermarket team got back with you. Eaton does not offer differentials for this vehicle.
