The axe fell Tuesday of last week for me. They tell me they eliminated my position. I lasted as long there as most do (2 years). On to bigger and better things, I guess.
One thing is for sure, I've gotten more done around the house in the last week than the last year.

That's a real bummer. We have brought back many of those laid off here at the beginning of the year. Hopefully things will keep picking up for everyone. Good luck your way...

There's jobs out there. Go find a better one. Or start your own company. The latter is much more satisfying, and can make you a bunch more $$$...

Clay, as you should already know, when one door closes, another opens.
Knock off some projects and get some use out of your little dinghy before rollin' up the sleeves again.
Glad ya kept yer toolbox dude!!

Got 3 fenceposts set (that's not easy work for a fat, out of shape estimator). Also changed the tubes on a couple bicycles. I'll be ordering the cam chain for my bike soon. Looking forward to that.

Quit playing with your dinghy.
Need a little wind here.
Those are from Tommy Boy the movie.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

There's jobs out there. Go find a better one. Or start your own company. The latter is much more satisfying, and can make you a bunch more $$$... You probably won't earn as much at the beginning. But, if you do something you enjoy, it's not as much like work. Working for ones self can be both difficult and enjoyable.

Average unemployment rate is around 10%. the construction trade had been hit at least that much. So.....all you really have to do is be better than the 10% not working.
Good luck, the cream rises to the top during these times.
