I have located my fan blower motor and the resistor. How do I determine whether my resistor is shot or my blower motor is shot? Can I simply hook the fan directly to the battery to see if it goes on? I know, I know, this is some basic stuff, but I'm brutal with electrical issues. A resistor is $5o, and a new blower motor is $150. Perhaps this is worth a drive to the wreckers to find a used one.
