Same tranny in my '97 and my FSM says DexII, but I always use Diamond SP III from the dealer. What's the difference? Surely Dex II is fine if the FSM recommends it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

DexII is no longer available. It's been superceded by DexIII.

I've heard horror stories of using standard fluid in these. But the primary enemy of these trannies is heat. Your only defense is the fluid you use. Choose wisely....
