Waht are the symtoms? How is it running poorly..

Things to look at:

1: I have heard of problems with too much fuel from the stock pump.

2: Is your distributor working correctly? The mechanical and vacuum advance can and to fail over time making the motor hard to tune. Pull the cap and you should be able to rotate the rotor and the springs should bring it back to its original position.
3: What is your vacuume at idle? Any chance you have a vacuum leak?

4: Do you have the distributor hooked up to a ported vacuum port on the carb?



Put your hand over the throat of the carb at idle, does the motor pick up speed or slow down and die out? If it picks up speed you have a vacuum leak.
