Well... I'm not worried about my leaking vacuum pump any more... I can't keep oil in my 4D55 long enough for it to leak.

Something "went" on my way to Osoyoss last week. On our way out of town the truck started puking smoke. Luckily we were only on the edge of town so I was able to go pick up the Frontier and drive it.

Not one to worry, and the Paj would never let me down...

I decided to take the truck to Mosse Mountain a few days later... More smoke. At first I was hoping this was a fuel issue, but based on the oily smell of the smoke and it's grey-ish colour I'm thinking it's not fuel. A buddy of mine saw the Paj drive by, he said the smoke trail was about a full km in length.I decided to check the oil level.

I'm burning about a litre of oil for every 100km that I drive. Not bad eh?

I parked the truck last Tuesday and havent' looked at it since. (I'm a little mad at it). I think I'm ready to start figuring out if I need a new turbo or a new head gasket.

So.. what now? What are some easy diagnoses to do prior to ripping the thing apart and loosing my temper? I need to check my coolent level, to see if I'm burning it too, and to see if there is oil floating in it.
I need to pull off the intake hose to see if oil is pooring out of my turbo.
My guess is turbo, but who knows.

I was all ready to sell my Frontier, and become a Mitsu only man, but now... now that the Paj is sitting in my parking space dripping it's life blood on my floor... well... I'm loosing my patients.

I bought the Paj to be my wheeling truck. It's now been on two camping trips, two wheeling trips and a couple play days... Would an ARB bumper and a lift on my Frontier be cheaper?
