Couldn't you flip the tierods to the top of the knuckle? The Gen1 mounts under, couldn't you flip it on top? It give you a good 1/2"-1" raise in the tierod angle...

I have been wondering about this as well latley. How would you retaper the hole?

Well, I'm confused once more.

The print says 25mm on high side, and 22.5mm on low side, but you say .9" high side, .8" low side.

25mm in inches is .98", and 22.5mm in inches is .88"

Which dimensions are correct?

Just trying to wrap my head around it all.

Really,
Reread the post. He also said "So between 7/8 and 3/4"." He's speaking in general terms. The print speaks for itself.

I did re-read the thread several times before posting.

Here is the original spacer being used in the UK:

when he posted the print,so I was unsure if he used those dimensions verbatim when he had the shop make em, or if he truncated them off to .9 and .8.

Hope I haven't pissed anyone off, I just want to be well-informed about a part that affects a vital system on my truck if I install it. smile

No problem as at all. Clarification is good. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I was generalizing using inches.

The image posted is the correct dimensions.

25mm high side / 22.5mm low side = 2.5mm taper spanning the diameter of the whole spacer.

Bolts are 10M x 1.25 x 45mm / fine thread pitch / Grade 10.9 (metric equivalent of Grade 8 SAE) with 10.9 grd washers.

There is a sheet with detailed instructions on how to install them, a disclaimer and note to have a wheel alignment done after the install.

I have 8 sets left. I'm starting to ship them over to the UK as our dollar is low and they are saving 1/2 off buying them from Australia.

Thanks for generous offer but I'll play it safe. I ripped my OldManEmu rear shocks in half in desert. That was unpleasant enough. Loosing front end could be disastrous or even catastrophic.

No problem. That's what choices are for and it's good to have them.

Of course it would. That goes without saying. Shocks, tierods, balljoints, steering column, tires, rims, pitman arm, control arm bushings, etc... Any of these things can take out your front end.

Fortunately, if installed properly, these balljoint spacers do not affect the front end.

There are 13 monty's in the Vancover area running bj spacers up front and some with longer springs in the rear. Makes for a good combo.
