I just finished removing the tranny to replace the clutch on my 3.0 and I need to know what kind of grease to use to pack the release bearing and to lube the input shaft and release fork. The fsm only gave me a part num (# 0101011)for genuine mitsu grease and didn't tell me what kind it was. For future reference, use an acutal tranny jack (that tilts) when removing the tranny/tcase assembly since you have to raise the rear while lowering the front to clear everything. I struggled removing it when using a regular jack with the cup removed and replaced with a 1ft square steel plate that doesn't tilt. I'm gonna borrow one when I put it back in. Who made the oem clutch for it, ie what manufacturer? I have a feeling it's never been replaced before and the engine has 165k miles on it. It has a logo on it that says "DK" and "made in Japan". seems to have lasted pretty good. I replaced it with a generic "hd" clutch made in korea that I got off ebay for $120, we'll see how well that works. Here's a pic of the burnt up disc
