Heard a strange noise on a customers Pajero.

Pulled the head and this is the result.

Cyl #4 had a ton of rubber debris in it.

Turned out that the turbo was only working at 10-15%.

Had the turbo rebuilt.

Plugged it all back together and cranked her over.

The extra 85% forced air from the turbo blew the deteriorating rubber inside the intercooler pipes right through in the chamber.

Customer is lucky. Everything is still good aside from the h gasket.
