That's hasn't been my experience. On both of the cheaper welders I have owned the wire was not live unless the trigger was pulled. Otherwise it would be a real pain in the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
