If you are having differential or transfer case issues, then I recommend "River City Differentials" in Rancho Cordova ( 852-7109 ). Sean is the best gear-guy in town. Even the local Toyota dealership sends him work. Not too far from you. He's a great guy. Tell him Rick sent ya.

For other repairs, I recommend "Japanese Imports" downtown (17th and J) 442-9007. I do most repairs myself, but anything that I can't do, I use them. I also take my wife's Lexus there.

Both are very honest and reasonably priced .
