I like the idea of a 7MGTE powered 2wd mini. The 7MGTE is a lot'a power for a little money. It's got to be one of the best deals going hp/$. And aside from the gasket issue, I hear the bottom end is bulletproof to about 600hp.
Now for the hijack part of the post: Corey!! I've been puzzling about how to make a 4x4 replacement frame. It's the compound curves in the frame rails that were stumping me. You've given me some new ideas!!! And much easier for a 4x4 than what your doing, I think. Thanks for the inspiration.
Also, there are more than a few people putting 1JZ and 2JZ motors into BMW 3 series. 3 series cars from the mid-90's are getting reasonably priced. And there is a lot of nice wheel, suspension and brake hardware for those cars. How about a 400 hp M3 killer for less than $10k!!! Oh yeah! -- Matt

Wow man....thats impressive! You should post a build up thread on it. There is, he just hasnt updated it for years Personally, i'd do a 1jz swap, my bud's been having issues with his 7m's... but if built correctly they will last (just not as many rev's, smoothness, hp or potential as a 1jz)

Yeah .. It's been a couple years now .. I started building the Trekker , so I had to kick the 2WD out of the shop so Now that the trekker is gettin' close to completion .. I will absolutly revive the 2WD build thread !! I'm stoked to get on this one .. as I love the potential of the 7MGTE .. and as Greg has mentioned , build em right !! 1000HP possabilities the engine I have is from the donar car , and I couldnt see dumping anything else in to it , but the 7MGTE this one is all new/rebuilt !! block and head all reworked and machened with MLS head gasket , ARP head studs , RC racing 550CC injectors , walbro fuel pump , lexas MAF ... and the list goes on .. not dyno'd yet , but am expecting 400HP with the STOCK ct26 turbo ... not to mention , a simple upgrade of the turbo , could net 600HP !!! but do ya think I need it ? .. I dont !! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.members.shaw.ca/slacker502/IM001552.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.members.shaw.ca/slacker502/IM001565.JPG) exhaust manifold , and shields . ![[Linked Image]](http://www.members.shaw.ca/slacker502/IM001570.JPG) front cover ![[Linked Image]](http://www.members.shaw.ca/slacker502/IM001571.JPG) and the upper intake .. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.members.shaw.ca/slacker502/IM001574.JPG)

I thought the 7m needs a 57 trim(modified CT26) to hit 400hp, I know that is the numbers I am shooting for w/my '87 Supra.
Are you running a stand-alone or using the donor 7m's ecu for air/feul management?
More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. '90 X-cab 4.88's 33 BFG AT's, rr ARB, Headers, Ignition upgrade, cold air induction. '91 X-cab 5.29's 315's BFG MT's, rr ARB, custom bumper and flatbed

I most likely will be going with a stand alone .. and from the info. I have gathered , is that I dont have to re-do the turbo .. I most likely will do that as well , but I want to start and run the engine for the "break in" with the stock unit . This is as far as I got , when I kicked it out of my shop .

resurecting an old build thread .. on going , just not much progress .. so today , popped the fatties off of the wheels to make sure they were going to fit this is what it looks like with the tires stuffed into the fenders ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/hot%20rod/SSPX2056_zpsc28a9a61.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/hot%20rod/SSPX2057_zpsc91c9514.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/hot%20rod/SSPX2058_zps685d213e.jpg) .
