So, I've searched around and read a bunch of threads about swapping heater cores, but mostly they are written about Gen 1 trucks.
Is it possible to swap the core without pulling the whole dash? Does the "cut the tube" thing work for 2nd Gens?

Also, I'm pretty underwhelmed by the air output with the heat. The fan has distinct steps of speed (at least sound) with each spot of the switch, but it doesn't seem like it moves much air. Do they get clogged on the outside? Is it worth pulling the fan and running the vacuum up there to get stuff out?
