I had almost 1/2 tank of fuel left in my Montero, but I ran 99% of the trip in 2 wheel drive. I also had 10 gals in my NATO cans left over.

I have no idea where fuel was at $4.00, I paid $2.32 for mine in Az.

The water crossing is not a problem, see pictures.

The tracks are available on line. You can find them doing a search. I can download the ones I used if you can't find them.
