Thought I'd post this now as the Hallowharrie weekend is coming up. Before ![[Linked Image]](http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/9373/dsc07953.jpg) After ![[Linked Image]](http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/5361/1005476.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/677/1005469p.jpg) Did some 'keep it running right' work first, including; Reman rear brake calipers, rubber hoses (front rubber hoses next), new fluid Fuel filter Upper (Moog) and lower (Mitsu) ball joints New tie-rods (Moog) New idler arm (Mitsu; pitman arm is fairly recent) Mods include; 33" procomp muds Front diff and rear axle swap with factory locker and 4.636 gears Replaced trailing arms with much better ones from the JY 50mm Sequoia coil spacers and t-bar crank Rear diff protection. Grand Cherokee ARB front bumper and beefed up the frame horns with 3/16 plate. Added some cheap lights and put the factory fogs back on with minor modification Factory headlight washers (still need to install the relay) Cut rear quarter panels off and relocated the drain tube CB in a temporary location Fish plates of the frame lift joints I think that's it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Can I call it an 'LSR' now please? Still to come (stuff I have the materials for at least) are rear bumper, sliders, rework the rear end of the exhaust and cap the rear quarters I made the diff protection out of 2mm plate. I'm not sure if I went far enough with it. The plate extends underneath as far as the 3rd and is fully welded in place ![[Linked Image]](http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6553/1005468d.jpg) To relocate the drain tube after cutting off the rear quarters I used a hole saw. I still need to drop the tank and add the inside plates. Much easier to swap the rear axle compared to the front diff. If Reuben invites you over for coffee or lunch, don't do it! Haha! Jk, I knew you were in the middle of doing that when I came over, so I didn't mind helping out, but that front diff was a pain in the a$$ to slip in.
Looks like you've been moving right along over there and I'm glad you were able to find another bumper. Were the rear quarters easy? Time for some protect and now the weather is getting chilly. This week should warm up some but after that, might be awhile. Letme know if you need help, I'll try and swing by. Best of luck. It's looking good and you'll notice a big diff on the trails now!

You'd best come up with the info for that bumper because everyone's going to want to know ALL about it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> I'm not the first. Alex K was the brains behind this idea. He did his 3 years ago now and 4runnerpilot did the same a couple of months ago. It fits better on an LS because there are no fender flares. However, the bumper is still too narrow at the sides and will not go past the bottom part of the front fenders. It looks like 4runnerpilot cut his fenders (may be). I didn't fancy that and so I shaped the inside of the bumper with a grinder to match the lower fender (one side is better than the other, of course <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ) The sides of the bumper are also way too long and so once mounted I used tape to make the curve I wanted and cut a few inches off. Finally, the mounting brackets are too wide. I didn't want to cut and reweld, destroying the power coating in the process. However, I was able to 'persuade' the brackets to the correct width with a good aim and a BFH <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> I had to drill a couple of holes too. When I was mounting it I used pieces of 1/4" trim wood taped to the inside bumper edge to make sure it sat level with the truck body. It still needs some minor adjustment, but for $200 I'm really happy with it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Stony - I had a ritual of looking every morning on craiglist for a local one. I missed two, when I forgot to look <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" /> You want one for a ZJ GC 92-98 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> I haven't wired up the front lights yet. What's the best way to do that? Should I tie them in to the main high beams or run a separate switch? I like the idea of them coming on with high beam for road use, but I'm not sure if people generally use high beam when 4wheeling at night.

Thanks for the comments guys <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Were the rear quarters easy? Dead easy. I spent more time looking at it and taping up than I did cutting. Sawzall goes through like a hot knife through butter. you'll notice a big diff on the trails now! I hope so. LOVE those gears, so I appreciate you persuading me to get them. My tranny is much happier.

Fantastic job there young Man. I to am going to swap to the 4.6x gears.
About that bumper, words are fine, but pictures say a lot more. If you want to stay the true hero you are, post some pictures of your bumper mods, or else ........ <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
