Looks good, Reuben! You got a lot more done than I, and in a lot less time. Now get some trail pics!

Thanks Jon. I don't know about speed I've been working on this stuff since July. In fact I bought the rear axle and diff a year ago It being a DD makes modifying it complicated. Oh well, may be next year that will change

Made up some sliders out of 50mm...nevermind 2" square tube with 3/16ths wall thickness. They're pretty stout. I wanted something quite subtle for convenience as it's a DD. I made the kick out at the rear by cutting a slit just behind the outside face (top and bottom) and then pulled the outside face out. I then filled the gap with plate and capped both ends.

Seem to do the job OK. They don't flex at all

Its amazing how much work you have got done since your truck was stock back in 06. If you ever get bored you are more than welcome to come over and swap the 4.88s from my Gold truck into the Red one.

The truck is looking good, can't wait to see how it does at Uwharrie in April.
(Considering October it was wet, and we only really did the bunny trails..... )

That's a kind thought Eli, but I started these sliders in November 09 I guess I did move house in between. Next is upper ball joint spaces and a rear bumper etc, etc.

Oh, and I sprayed the rear quarter trim with rattle can truck bed liner from Lowes. I'm amazed at how well it turned out. My wife wants me to do the same to all the trim.....good idea love, hadn't thought of that myself!

dang Ruby! Getting some serious work done over there. I forgot all the lil things you were in the middle of, including moving. At first glance, thought the garage looked different, then noticed in another pic it was the new house. Congrats on the move too!

Sounds like you are on the right track, and its not even summer yet. We will get up soon. Stay in touch bro!
