My vents arn't to loud. But when I place the heat on the feet, the sound is loud as hell. Sounds like I got leaves in there somewhere too. I just keep it on till it blows the crap through. You might have something loose if its sqealing. Maybe someone replaced the heater core and didn't assemble it fully. I have no clue? Need more info...

Sounds like the fan is dying.

The fan squeals loudly for about 15 seconds then goes away when I first turn it on in the morning. Wondering if there's access so I could grease it or something?

Why don't you just replace the fan?

It's easy to remove, I think 3 screws??

Also a good idea to clean it every once in a while. The squirrel-cage fan gets junk in it and sometimes it won't come out by itself. Someone told me one time they smelled something in their car and couldn't find it, and eventually they opened up the fan to clean it out, and there was a dead decayed mouse in there :P

The air intake for the HVAC system is located at the base of the windshield and there's no screen on it. So alot of debris and leaves can easily enter the system and it usually gets trapped in the blower motor fan. The blower motor is located under the dash on the passenger side. Held in place by 3 screws. Awkward to get to but not too bad. Pull it out and I'll bet there's stuff caught in the fan.

I had to do this several times with my Sportage.
