You always have to expect less mileage with ethanol in the gas. I easily get 20+ mpg hwy at about 70mph without ethanol gas, with ethanol you'll get at least 10% less mileage. So that cheaper price for ethanol (subsidized) gas is bogus. I calculated I could get the same dollars or better per tank for non-ethanol gas for a price up to about 10 cents more per gallon. But I have no non-ethanol choices now that the local Amoco/BP caved in and stopped selling non-ethanol gas. Thank those corn state congressmen and the ag industry. Let's see, using land for gasoline instead of food - yea that makes sense.
