had some ruff noise from the brakes, so i went to brakeworld.com and got the same set as one of our fellow sporty driver. i ended up getting a new pass caliper, caliper bolt was stripped. it came out easy.lol. i still have the noise tho, there is a little damage to the wheel. my gf later told me she hit a curb. what do u guys think? wheel bearings? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Sounds like a possible bearing failure, can you describe in more detail what your doing when you hear the noise and what makes it go away if at all. In my experience bearings can be noisy w/o doing anything at all. Or you hear it during braking and usually while turning which typically identifies the outside bearing as the failed one. Any other odd things like vibration or pulsation while braking?

Look on the first thread up at the top of the forum. There are many good references in that thread. I left three links with good visuals on the wheel clearence on page 3. I have a 3" UPYOURKIA lift, but that dosen't make a big difference. I'm sure you won't have to make any trimming to the bumpers at that size tire. But it will look alot better than it did.

Always had my dad help me do the drum brakes. Sure do miss him. Anyway, was wondering how you like the front brake pads. Did you get the Ti coated Kevlar ones? I really noticed a better feel and less pedal pressure than the previous set on my sportage.

always replace both cylinders, the samething goes for calipers, some just replace 1 but it time 1 might grab firstpulling the car that way and people wonder why.

ooooooooooo yea mine was a pain to take the drum off but i think that was due to pads coming off the shoe and locking them up but other than that they are easy.
