If you could measure the raider leafs, I'll post the toyota leaf measurements

length eye-to-eye
length from t front eye to pin
length from rear eye to pin

Raider leafs are totally unique as far as I could tell. IF you want to put other springs in there, you're going to need to cut off your old mounts, and put on new ones in different locations.

Thats what I did to get the correct lift in the back of my raider.

I just went out and measured my 87 SWB rear leafs. They measured 3" wide, 48" long, front to back they were 21"s from front eye to center pin to 27"s to rear eye. This was measured on my parts truck so they may be a fraction off either way.

According to http://www.generalspringkc.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=158&pg=1

79-83 Toyota p/u rear leafs are 2 3/8s wide, 47 1/4 long, 20 7/8 x 26 3/8. (x is center pin)

84-88 Toyota p/u leafs are 2 3/8s wide 47 1/4 long, 20-1/2 x 26-3/4.

73-91 Chevy Blazer springs (front 47") are 2.5" wide, 23 1/2 x 23 1/2.

76-92 Jeep wagoneer springs 2.5" wide, 47" long, 22 1/2 x 24 1/2.

I've been playing with longer flatter leafs for the back of my raider to get more droop/articulation. Once I have them completely ironed out I'll post up on them.

Do you think the average stormtrooper knows how to install a toilet main? All they know is killing and white uniforms.

Why doesn't anyone do the leaf spring over the axle? Isnthat one of the way to lift a regular domestic truck? Don't hey use blocks and longer ubolts, etc...?

I said that, but they would probably bend like spring over samurais, yjs, etc. Most spring overs tend to bend the spring eventually (not to mention his has a turbo motor).

I had considered spring over at one time, but you would end up with about 3+ inches of lift in the back from the diameter of the axle tube. Kind of hard to crank the T-bars enough to level that out up front.

the turbo motor on leaf springs needs some help with spring wrap. A traction bar above the axle would be nice. Maybe off the diff chunk to a mount in line with the front spring eyes?

Why cant I find measurements for the rear leaf springs? I went to a local shop, the dude spent about 20 mins looking thru all his books for the Montero/Raider apps, but couldn't come up with the spring measurements. Anyone got any help with that?
