yet another dealership wonder.

One of my Soldiers had a coupon to get their oil changed in Tucson on their Mitsubishi vehicle at a mitsu dealer in tucson.

I am so glad you can count on dealerships to do the job right since they went to school to be certified and trained technicians. I guess the school forgot to teach them that putting the oil cap back on the engine after the oil change is not optional, it is mandatory! Soldier drove 1.5 hours from tucson to fort huachuca, got out of the car at the house and smelled a terrible smell of burning oil as it dripped down the side of the hot engine.

gotta love those trained technicians and top dollar prices, it is so worth the money.

oh and the best part is, if hypothetically, it caused damage to the engine, and if you wanted them to take responsibility for the damage, they would probably back out of it and say:

we successfully changed the oil, we drained the old oil, put on a new filter, put in new oil, and when you drove away you had all the oil in the engine. it isn't our fault that you leaked the oil out everywhere on your ride home, so we can't cover that nor can we take any responsibility for damages or costs of repair.

and they are right. gotta love how common sense these days has just become a thing of the past.
